Who Am I?

Who am I?

I’m a frum Jewish woman, a wife, a mother (of, bH, a few little girls), a big sister, a registered nurse, and a passionate believer that women should receive only the best care and education about their bodies. I’m a true out-of-towner from the West Coast, married to a New Yorker, and a recent transplant to the North of Israel.

Why am I here?

My own obstetric and gynecologic experiences led me to pursue a nursing masters in Women’s Health, including coursework for midwifery, prior to making Aliyah. Additionally, I have certification as a lactation educator/counselor and as a bodeket tahara. Again and again, I’ve spoken to women looking for more education and answers to “basic” women’s health questions – but nothing is basic if no one is teaching it to you! We need to be tznius, AND we need the opportunity to discuss what’s going on in our lives and with our bodies. I LOVE educating. I love talking women through their questions and concerns, one-on-one, helping them find the confidence to speak up and find solutions. And so, here we are.

What will I offer?

While I’m getting started on this website, know that you can always schedule a private phone consultation with me at https://pnimawellness.as.me/. Consultations are scheduled for 15 minute intervals, and we can work together to find a convenient time to talk, no matter your time zone. Again, I do not diagnose or prescribe, but I am available to answer questions, clarify information, work with you on specific requests to make of your doctor or midwife, and provide tips on accessing care. BH, I have been able to help women with birth control and lactation concerns, intimacy dysfunction, and prenatal care by taking a thorough history by phone, giving nursing advice, and directing them to the appropriate providers with the appropriate language to express themselves.

Over the next few weeks and months, I intend to upload educational presentations and podcasts in a variety of formats, to fit different types of learners. Ideally, I’ll be creating a forum where you can subscribe to ask anonymous questions and receive useful answers, as well!
