Getting Back to Business

As the school year (finally!) gets underway, I’m looking forward to having time to put out more posts and podcasts. Davening for the health and and safety of Klal Yisroel and Humanity… and for the children: joyous educational hours that take place ourtside the home. 🙂

I’ve recieved some very motivating feedback over the last month, so thank you to those who have let me know what this information means to you! And thank you to the women who have sent topic suggestions as well as questions they want answered. I’m looking forward to talking about those subjects in the coming months.

Earlier this week I created and sent out a short survey to gather info for a blog post I had in mind. As an afterthought (can you tell marketing isn’t really my thing?), I included the P’nima Wellness website address and a section for suggestions. I’m hoping most people finished the survey then went to the blog, because the number one response was a request for more information on different types of birth control. I want to highlight the birth control summary chart I put together, plus mention that I’ve done a few podcasts related to the topic (and new IUD podcasts should be up shortly bezrat Hashem).

Lastly, I’m pleased to share that I successfully completed Machon Puah’s course for Yoatzot l’Refuah v’Halacha – Counselors for Medicine and Halacha. I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to learn from their remarkable staff of dedicated and understading Rabbanim and medical practitioners. (Plus, now I know who speaks English!) Machon Puah is best known in the US for their work in fertility, but in Israel they are recognized for the way they bridge the gap between the worlds of medicine and halacha – from general women’s health to complex genetic and Taharat HaMishpacha issues. They certify Kallah Teachers, Chattan Teachers, Balaniot (mikvah attendants), Bodkot Taharah, intimacy counselors – and the list goes on and on! It’s worth check out their webpage (with the help of Google translate as needed!).
