This is such a sensitive subject and painful to many women. I’ve done my best to clearly and simply present some facts about pregnancy loss (miscarriage) and the medical process, as well as to share some thoughts on supporting women experiencing a pregnancy loss through both words and actions.
As always, feedback is welcome in the comments below.

Here are two articles from Mishpacha Magazine about pregnancy loss that I’ve come across in the past and found very insightful –
- One, “Hello & Goodbye” by C. Rosenberg, features the journey and wisdom of the founder of Knafayim, Malkie Klaristenfeld – https://mishpacha.com/hello-goodbye/
- The second, “‘It’ is for Objects” by Esther Kurtz, is a short but extremely powerful piece which shares one woman’s experience with the language used around pregnancy loss – https://mishpacha.com/musings-it-is-for-objects/
- If you’re unable to click through to links, you can download this article directly below. Yes, I believe every woman should read this one!
